Hello sailors

The sun may have been missing this week but it didn't dampen Sunderland's flare for fashion.
Nautical – that seems to be the fashion theme at the moment and Sunderland shoppers have not missed this trend.
Everywhere I looked people were breaking out in stripes, donning their sailor pants and stepping out in red, white and blue.
Make the most of it, though, because safari glamour and oversized bright prints are chomping at the high street bit.
It won't take long for this look to come waltzing off the catwalk straight onto Sunderland's streets and I'll be on the lookout in July to see who has added them to their wardrobe.
But back to this month.
Nearly all of the fashion-conscious souls I hunted down were wearing something from Primark.
If you're short of cash but still want to be at the forefront of the fashion stakes, budget shopping is the future.
But don't deprive yourself completely – splash those well-earned pennies on a few expensive accessories that will do nothing but complement your low-cost outfit.
The key to cheap clothes is the ability to make them look expensive.
Pick wisely – sometimes what looks good in the shop is less convincing in the harsh Sunderland daylight.
To give you a helping hand in your quest for bargains, we have teamed up with A Gift From The Gods.
Grab your own heavenly accessories at agiftfromthegods.com and get 10 per cent off online orders until July, 31 by entering SE001.
