Three arrests after stabbing

POLICE have arrested three men after a man was repeatedly stabbed at a Wearside club.
Officers were called to Castletown Workingmen's Club, in Castle View, Sunderland, at about 1.15am today, where the attack was alleged to have taken place.

A 20-year-old man had received several stab wounds to his front and back, but police said his condition was not life-threatening.

He was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The incident is being dealt with by Sunderland CID and the investigation is ongoing.

A police spokeswoman said: "One man has received several stab wounds to his front and back. These stab wounds are not life-threatening."

No further details have been released.
