Sunderland man who racially insulted police officer is jailed after flouting suspended sentence

Anthony Christopher Scott is beginning 12 weeks in prison after he admitted breaching a curfew by being absent from a designated address on occasions between June 14-26.
Scott, 32, of Ewe Hill Terrace, Fence Houses, had only received a suspended sentence on June 12 after he was convicted of committing three offences over a five-month period.

Hide AdOne of them was for using threatening words or behaviour towards a police officer in Sunderland on December 7 last year.
Court documents released by South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court indicate that this offence was “racially aggravated”.
Scott was also originally convicted of failing to provide a specimen of breath on December 7 and for harassing a woman by phone, texts and social media in Chester-le-Street between May 25-27 this year.
