Simply Red - Simply Amazing say fans as band perform at cricket ground in Chester-le-Street
The group fronted by singer Mick Hucknall played to a packed out crowd who had gathered at Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground.
Blasting out their well-known hits, fans soaked up the electrifying atmosphere as they sang and danced along.

Hide AdCathleen Vallance from Durham was at the gig with her brother, sister and sister-in-law.
She said she had been keen to see the band for years and couldn't believe her luck when it was announced they would be appearing at the ground.
"I have been waiting to see them for year. It's just great they have come here. The venue is fantastic, lots of space and everything has been fantastic.
"It's just been a fantastic event from the start."
The night kicked off with support acts before the band everyone had been waiting for took to the stage.

Hide AdSinging hits including Fairground, Something Got Me Started, Stars, and Holding Back the Years - it was a night of memorable moments for fans.
Claire May from Chester-le-Street said: "It is just fantastic. Absolutely amazing. I wasn't going to miss the opportunity to see him."
Friend Pat Johnson added: "I've seen the band six times now and I'm just their biggest fan.
"He hasn't lost it at all, his voice is spot on."
The band were a household name in the 1980s and 90s, and one in five British homes contains a Simply Red album culminating in more than 60million worldwide sales.
Simply Red's latest album "Big Love" comes three decades after their first release.
