Stephen Elliott: This is why Sunderland need to make move for Rangers winger Jordan Jones
and live on Freeview channel 276
On his day Jordan’s pace and skill are too much for any full back in League One, and it was great to see him back in action and seemingly showing no ill effects from his lay off.
Having fallen behind in the game, it was Rangers loanee Jones who proved the catalyst for promotion-chasing Sunderland’s equaliser breaking between two defenders before placing a nutmeg pass through a third opponents’ legs to present Lynden Gooch with a tap in from close range at the Stadium of Light.

Hide AdPersonally if the £600,000 price tag being mentioned for Jones is correct I feel it would be an absolute coup for the club to sign him permanently not only because of his undoubted talent, but also because he seems to be really enjoying his time at Sunderland and is tellingly a popular figure among his team mates.
When the crowds do finally return Jordan is the type of player who will really excite the fans.
He’s quick, he’s direct, he can score goals, and most importantly he seems to have a real desire to do well and to succeed. I also think he will thrive even more when the supporters return. He just seems that type of character.
So if ‘the powers that be’ are happening to be reading this, I would strongly advise to get a deal done as soon as possible.
