The striker was dropped to the bench by Elliott Dickman for the 4-0 defeat to West Brom last week after being late for training at the Academy of Light.
But he returned to the starting line-up for the victory over Huddersfield Town on Monday.
“He’s reacted very well,” said Dickman.

“His attitude in training most of the time, if not all the time, is brilliant. He just had a little minor blip last week.
“But fair play to him, he’s reacted in a positive way and this week he’s done really, really well.”
The striker is set to see his contract expire this summer, with no resolution yet reached over a new deal.
Phil Parkinson is also considering the possibility of sending the Swedish youth international out on loan.
