Sunderland s Under-23s only have four remaining Premier League 2 games this season, two this month - including a trip to Norwich City on Friday - and two next month.

It is not yet clear whether Dickman will take charge of the Norwich game.

Earlier this week, Sunderland U23s fell to defeat after three second-half goals from West Brom.

Chris Maguire played 75 minutes as he looked to maintain match fitness, and pressed his senior claims.
